Over the weekend a young woman, Aubrey Strause was charged in a hit and run accident that happened early Saturday morning in Iowa City. According to a local news source, the driver had been drinking and hit the pedestrian at an intersection. The name of the victim has not been released, but was state that they have suffered a head injury. The driver said that she knew she had hit someone, but didn’t stop for almost two blocks because she was trying to find a place to pull over so she could check on the pedestrian. Strause’s alcohol level was well above the legal limit in Iowa and has been charged with drunk driving, leaving the scene, and serious injury by a vehicle.
