Iowa Injury Lawyer: Driving in Darkness

How often are you on the road at night? Sometimes you can't prevent driving at night, but we recommend trying to keep nighttime driving to a minimum. Driving at night is very dangerous and your chances of getting into an accident increase significantly when driving at night. There is less traffic on the road, but the darkness alters people's vision enough that there is a greater risk for accidents at night than during the day. A driver's reaction is highly dependable on their vision and how well they can see what is going on around them. This means if you can't see well at night, because of all the darkness or lights from oncoming traffic you may not be able to react to a problem in the road like you would during day time driving. We want Iowans to be aware of nighttime dangers and offer tips to make driving at night as safe as it can be.
