Dog attacks can happen at any time

Over the weekend a woman from Omaha, Nebraska was severely injured when she defended a young boy against a pit bull. According to KCCI the pit bull was angered by Lionel Valles and tried to chase down the young boy. However, Joyce Haynes heard the boy screaming and ran out to help. The dog started attacking her. As a result she is currently in the hospital with an injured leg. Haynes was trying to protect the little boy from being harmed by the pit bull and did a good job, but was hurt severely herself. The owner of the pit bull has agreed to have the dog put down after the attack.

There is no telling what the boy did to anger the dog, if anything, until further investigation is done. They were unsure at the time if any charges are going to be filed against the owner of the dog. This can happen to anyone where there are dogs around, regardless of the size of the dog. They can still be dangerous if they are enraged in some way. You never know what a dog might do to you if you make it mad or upset. There many different dog breeds, some more vicious than others, but a lot of how a dog treats people depends on how the dog was raised and treated by the owner.
