Jake Oeth joined our firm in January of 2024.  He grew up in Ogden, Iowa, and attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, where he played basketball for the Duhawks. After graduating from Loras College in 2009, he became involved in politics and worked for U.S. Senator Tom Harkin and U.S. Representative Bruce Braley. He decided on law school and graduated from Drake University Law School with honors in May of 2018. Jake’s practice will focus on workers’ compensation and personal injury law including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, and wrongful death.

Jake Oeth focuses his practice on all areas of criminal law, employment law, workers’ compensation, and personal injury law, including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Iowa

While in law school, Jake was part of a group of students who helped a federal inmate successfully apply for a commutation of his life sentence for a drug conviction and served as a student attorney in the Drake Legal Clinic representing court-appointed criminal defendants.
