Any one can become a dog bite victim when they least expect to. People don't generally think of dogs as viscous creatures, however, sadly but true- some are. There is no definite cause of why a dog attacks, but there are things you can do to prevent being attacked. We invite you to read a brand new article in our library regarding dog bite information. Staying informed can help you be prepared if you ever encounter an aggressive dog.
Dog bites can lead to very serious injuries. There have been a couple cases in the news lately that have happened in the Midwest; both attacks were by a pit bull. Do you think this type of dog should be banned from the state of Iowa? One man recently attacked right here is Des Moines doesn’t think so. He was attacked over the weekend while walking his two dogs, one of his dogs was also bitten. He does not want the pit bull that did the attacking put to sleep; he is placing the blame on the owner of the dog. He said “I feel that the dog is what the people make it”. This is true, because research shows that a dog’s behavior is majorly influenced by the way it was raised and how its owner treats them on a daily basis. If a dog is living in a violent home and is abused, then they are going to be very tempered and more likely to attack, because that is what they know and think is the proper way to act towards people. Dog owners need to take the time to train their dogs properly to help prevent any dog bite accidents.
