Summer Pool Fun

I am so excited that it is finally June because school is out and the pool is finally open! My brother and I usually get a pass every year to Cascade Falls in Ankeny and sometimes we go with friends. My mom says pools have changed a lot since she was a kid.

Ours has four slides that go really fast! Two of them are tube slides that we like to race on. There’s also a drop slide where you shoot out the bottom and into the deep end. We have a high dive I love jumping off too. The regular diving board is great for cannonballs. I also like to go into the lazy river because you just get to go around and around in your inflatable tube. I like to put my goggles on and look for money at the bottom. I usually find a few dollars that I can use to buy snacks when we need a break from swimming. My favorite snacks are the giant soft pretzels and, of course, ice cream. I hope everyone has a total blast at the pool this month. Be sure to wear your sunscreen!
