A Newton man was riding his motorcycle back to work on 1st Ave. after taking a lunch break. The driver of a car pulled directly in front of him and the rider had to lay the bike on the ground in order to avoid the impact and likely be thrown from his motorcycle. The force of the impact fractured his knee which required extensive surgery and rehabilitation. While he is not left with some permanent problems with his knee, we were able to obtain a settlement of $312,500 for his injuries and lost wages.
