A central Iowa truck driver who put in more than 30 years delivering packages for UPS sustained cumulative trauma injuries to his hips that required both of them to be replaced.  UPS did not want to pay him full value for his injuries so we filed a petition and moved forward to our trial date.  Once UPS saw the writing on the wall, we were able to obtain a settlement of more than $220,000 for the workers' comp case, plus Social Security disability benefits and he was able to start drawing his pension as well.  Overall, he received a lump-sum and now makes almost as much as he did when he was working.
