A nurse doing direct patient care at Broadlawns in Des Moines fell on a wet floor causing her to crash to the ground.  During the next few years, she sought medical care and treatment for ongoing back pain and problems from a number of different specialists.  Unfortunately, there was no surgery or other treatment that could provide her with significant and permanent pain relief.  She ended up with permanent work restrictions which required her to find a sedentary (sit-down) job so her nursing career was over.  After we filed a petition on her behalf and prepared the case for trial, we were able to convince the defendants to pay her $425,000 for her losses.
