A worker at Kinze Manufacturing had a heavy piece of equipment fall on his foot causing a crushing injury.  While no surgery was indicated to fix his foot, he developed a condition called CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) which caused extreme pain and burning in his foot and lower leg.  He was referred to the University of Iowa for pain management care.  They recommended that he have a spinal cord stimulator implanted into his back to help deal with his constant pain.  He had the stimulator installed and it did provide some pain relief.  He was no longer able to work at Kinze, but did find another job with a local company.  With our help we obtained a settlement of $210,000 to provide him with some financial security.
