While most of us take for granted spending time with family and friends at Thanksgiving each year, hundreds of thousands of Americans do not have this luxury.  Instead they spend Thanksgiving with their fellow troops, some in faraway lands and others here in the United States.  I think we can all agree that we should be thankful for the men and women of the United States Armed Forces who risk their lives to protect our country.  On Wednesday, November 11 we recognize and thank the millions of Americans who have served and continue to serve our country.  These brave men and women along with their families have made sacrifices that most of us will never understand.  If we had not entered the World Wars, it is likely that there would not be a United States of America.  Some have lost their lives, others have lost limbs and many have been mentally scarred for life.  Whether you believe that the use of military force is right or wrong, we hope that you teach your children and grandchildren to be grateful for the sacrifices that our veterans have made for us.
