Now that the holidays are over the big focus seems to be Valentine’s Day. Even though the weather outside is usually freezing and gray, every store you walk into is swapping out winter gear for all pink and red stuff. We don’t get holiday parties in middle school anymore, but when I was younger I always looked forward to decorating an old shoe box and exchanging cards with all my friends at school. Now my favorite thing to do is count down the minutes until February 15th when all that candy finally hits the 50% off in stores! February is also the start of many people’s favorite time of year – Girl Scout cookie season! I’ve been in Girl Scouts for a few years now and cookie season is always a big deal. It’s a great way for troops and girl scouts to earn money to do fun activities or go to camp in the summer. My personal favorite cookies are thin mints and peanut butter patties, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the choices we have!
