I love fall. It's my favorite season. Our family has so many fall traditions, like watching football with the whole family (Go Chiefs!) and going to the pumpkin patch. But my favorite tradition is running the turkey trot.
I run the Turkey Trot 5K every other year with my mom and my brother. The turkey trot is fun because when you get to the Capitol, you can take pictures in front of it. I also like to go to the building where you sign up for the race because you can get a free bag and hat. You can also get hot chocolate with fun toppings like sprinkles, marshmallows, and whipped cream. You can also take silly pictures with little props at the photo booth. Last year, my whole family pretended to be rock stars, and we all laughed so hard looking at the picture. I also really like the ornament you get when you finish; they always have a new design every year. But what I like most of all about the Turkey Trot is the treats that you get afterward. Every year, they have cinnamon and sugar donut holes and hot chocolate to warm you up after the race. I love fall and hope everyone has a great time this year!
